1st Saudi Archaeology Convention to open in Riyadh tomorrow


Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the 1st Saudi Archaeology Convention will be organized by Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage at the National Museum at King Abdulaziz Historical Center in Riyadh tomorrow.
At the opening ceremony, 140 citizens will be honored for helping the return of archaeological artifacts to the Commission, reporting archaeological sites or for their cooperation with the Commission in preserving the cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Also during the ceremony, the Abdul Rahman Al-Ansari Award for serving the antiquities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be presented to winners, in addition to the opening of a number of exhibitions, including the “Roads of Arabia Expo”, which has been exhibited in 11 world-famous museums throughout Europe, the United States, China, and Republic of Korea, and contains 466 rare artifacts displaying the aspects of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s civilization and its cultural heritage.
