مصر تفتتح أول متحف للحفريات بالشرق الأوسط

مصر تفتتح أول متحف للحفريات بالشرق الأوسط

افتتح في مصر، الخميس، متحف “الحفريات وتغير المناخ” الأول في الشرق الأوسط، والذي يعرض حيتانا متحجرة انقرضت الآن بالقرب من محمية وادي الريان بمحافظة الفيوم جنوب العاصمة القاهرة.
ويأتي ذلك ضمن الجهود التي تبذلها السلطات لجذب السياح، الذين قلت أعدادهم بسبب هجمات مسلحة وقعت مؤخرا.

ويعرض المتحف حوتا متحجرا عاش قبل 37 مليون عام ويبلغ طول هيكله العظمي 20 مترا، وهو ما يظهر أن الحيتان في العصر الحديث جاءت بعد تطور الثدييات البرية.

وقال وزير البيئة المصري، خالد فهمي، إن عرض الحفريات سيجذب فئة مختلفة من السائحين الذين يأتون من أجل الشواطئ والآثار الفرعونية.
